De Daytona Prototypes, afgekort DP, maakten er weer een enorm spannende race van. Maar liefst 12 wagens reden aan de leiding! Ook de #60 van Marc Goossens stond om middernacht op de eerste plaats, maar net zoals bij veel anderen strooide een kleine portie pech roet in het eten. Maar liefst 4 wagens reden over de finish lijn in dezelfde ronde als de winnaar!
