SKYLIMIT DRIFT CUP 2012 ROUND 1 : RACE WARS @ CIRCUIT ZOLDER PRO CLASS2012-04-18
In the Pro Class we had 17 competitors! The Belgian top drifters were there as some very good Dutch drivers.
This image says it all... Kevin Corsius was all over his opponents while chasing during the battles! His steering angle and his skills made him the man to beat... And nobody could beat him. About 2,5 years after his drift debut on this part of asphalt at the Skylimit Driftschool, Kevin drifted like a boss on his home soil! Here he puts pressure on Thijs Brusselman
Another part of the \"Kevin Corsius show\" while chasing 11th placed Nico Baelen.
Kevins dad, Andre, watches as the car he prepared drives out of the paddock on to the track. I\'m sure he is a proud man!
Laurens Potargent, another skylimit driftinstructor, drove the Yokohama MSTC Nissan of Jan Wouters. He got second place.
During the final Laurens lost all his chances on the win after a spin in the first turn. In the second run Kevin pressured Laurens and could easy become the winner
Revelation of the day was Pieter Gouwy. He drove the Portello Nissan to a brilliant 4th place!
In the battle for 3rd he was closely beaten by the V8 powered BMW of Jan Lokerse
Jan Lokerse drove very aggressive but just hit too many cones to qualify for the final. He ended up 3rd in the end
Youri Das won the battle for 5th place against the other dutch V8 BMW of John Van Baelen. So in the Top 6 we has 3 BMW\'s and 3 Nissans.
Pieter Van Hoorick scored a nice 7th place. Here we see him chasing 9th placed Gert Hoekman in his V8 powered Mazda RX7
The Corvette engined Mazda chasing the 120 BHP Toyota Corolla of Randy Congedo.
Randy was really unlucky this time as his LSD broke and he struggled through the whole day. But still he managed to drive some great drift battles and finished 8th.
10th placed Emiel Harten chasing down 12th placed Jean-Marie Deroover in his Skyline
Kurt Vandoorslaer won the match for \"car with the most steering lock\" :) His BMW has 62° while the BMW of Kevin Corsius has 59°. This loch did not help him in his first battles as he finished 14th...
Gert Hoekman will drive his Mazda in Poland this weekend at the opening round of King of Europe organized by PFD
As will Youri Das! So Skylimit Drift will be represented international
Beside his trophy, Kevin Corsius also won 2 brand new Yokohama tires!
