Skylimit Events staat voor een kweekschool van getalenteerde nieuwe en jonge piloten. Tijdens de opleidingen die we geven ontdekken we regelmatig echte talenten. Via ons team kunnen die dan doorgroeien in de Nationale autosport. Voor 2013 komen we met een heel opvallend team : we gaan één van onze Porsches bemannen met 3 meisjes! Dit zal met zekerheid één van de meest in het oog springende teams worden van 2013!
The main business of Skylimit Events is training and coaching new and young drivers during our track and drift days. In the past years we saw some talented drivers learning to race and now we want to help them on their way to success. But what is more : we did choose a team of girls for 2013 to race one of our Porsches! It will be one of the most popular teams in Belgian Motorsport 2013!
Als eerste willen we u graag Karen Vaes voorstellen. Karen is 22 en werd in 2011 winnaar van de Driftgirl competitie. Dit was een talentenjacht waarbij een 20-tal jonge dames de strijd met elkaar aangingen. Karen kwam er als winnaar uit samen met Stephanie Van Lingen.
First we would like to introduce Karen Vaes. This 22 year old girl was the winner of our 2011 Driftgirl competition. About 20 young girls did fight for this title. Karen became winner together with Stephanie Van Lingen.
Tijdens de Skylimit Drift Cup toonde Karen haar talent door in een veld van een 20-tal drifters zich gedurende de laatste 3 wedstrijden van het jaar te plaatsen voor de finale. Maar wat meer is, ze werd zelfs derde in de eindstand met deze QSR BMW M3.
During the Skylimit Drift Cup Karen could proceed to the final during the final 3 events. But more important, she finished third in the final standings.
Karen slaagde ook voor haar RACB licentie met een heel sterke score!
Karen also succeed the test for a national race license with a great score.
Via een doorgedreven coaching door Andy Jaenen werd Karen helemaal klaargestoomd voor het komende autosport seizoen.

Haar eerste Porsche tests verliepen zeer goed waardoor het plan werd opgestart om haar aan enkele andere meisjes te koppelen voor het komende race seizoen.
Her first Porsche tests went very well. Thats why we started the procedure to have a girl team in 2013.
Het tweede meisje in het team is Sarah Ganser. Dit Duitse meisje is slechts 17 jaar maar heeft reeds 2 jaar ervaring in diverse Duitse kampioenschappen.
The second girl is Sarah Ganser. This German girl is only 17 but already has 2 years experience in German championships!
Na een succesvolle kart carrière maakte ze al snel de sprong naar het echte werk.
After a successful career in karting she got into cars at a very young age.
Hoofd sponsor van Sarah is Jean Schaap Fleichmehlfabrik uit Duitsland. Daarnaast kan ze ook op steun rekenen van Gebr.Bouwens import-export B.V uit Nederland.

Ze behaalde heel wat klasse overwinningen dit jaar met deze Peugeot 206.
She drove to many class wins this year in This Peugeot 206.
Het lievelingscircuit voor deze jonge Duitse pilote is Zolder, wat goed uitkomt omdat dit ook de thuisbasis is van ons team.
The favorite racetrack of this young German girl is Circuit Zolder. Thats great as it is also the home track of our team.
De derde pilote voor ons team is Charlotte Maes. Deze 20 jarige jonge dame reed verschillende jaren in de karting. Daarna deed ze ervaring op in de Fun Cup, Historic races en in de Smart Cup.
Third driver for our team is Charlotte Maes. She is 20 years old and competed some years in karting. In the past 2 seasons she competed in Fun Cup, Historic cup and in the Smart Cup;
Charlotte doorliep de afgelopen maanden de Skylimit Racing School onder leiding van Jo Lammens en is nu helemaal klaar om te gaan racen met de Porsche.
Charlotte went to the Skylimit Racing School , was coached by Jo Lammens and is now ready for her race debut in our Porsche 996.
In 2013 gaat dit team met zekerheid één van de populairste teams worden in de belgische autosport. De autosport is een mannenwereld maar ook deze meisjes gaan er hun mannetje kunnen staan.
In 2013 this team will become a real eye catcher. Motorsport is a mens world but we are sure the girls will perform well next year.
Reeds 2/3 van het nodige budget is reeds in orde. Naast de vaste Skylimit partner, Yokohama, kunnen we reeds rekenen op steun van Jean Schaap, Gebr. Bouwens en MYR watches via Steve De Braekelaer. 2/3 of the budget is already fixed. Next to our Skylimit partner Yokohama, we already got the support of Jean Schaep, Gebr. Bouwens and Myr Watches via Steve De Braekelaer. Het programma van de meisjes zal het BRCC kampioenschap bevatten. De hoofdwedstrijd zal de Zolder 24 Hours worden. Karen zal daarnaast ook nog uitkomen voor de Paddock Zero Drifters terwijl Sarah ook enkele keren in de RCN op de Nürburgring zal starten.
The girls program will be the races of the BRCC championship. But also the very popular Zolder 24 Hours. Karen will also compete in some drift competitions with the Paddock Zero Drifters. Sarah will drive some RCN races at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Op marketing gebied zullen deze jonge dames van onschatbare waarde zijn. Ook bij de fans gaan ze zeker in de smaak vallen!
The marketing value of these girls will be very high. Also for the racefans this will be very popular.
